Get back to our roots!

"We are living in so-called modern culture that discourages empathy. A culture that too often tells us our principal goal in life is to be rich, thin, young, famous, safe and entertained."By Barack Obama
Indian  culture

Not just the kaleidoscopic variety but the cultural richness of our motherland, India had fascinated the huge population of this world. The undaunted history of India, from mythology to philosophy, had nursed its people to win intellectual as well as muscular battles. But as we are moving ahead with newer generations they seems to be more inclined towards western or non indigenous cultures.

I do support cultural relativism that teach us to be tolerant towards the customs of other groups but why do we need to dishonor  our own traditional values which are more deep rooted? Either if it is the spirituality of Shankaracharya, political construction of Chanakya, scientific temperament of Aryabhatt or the ethical preachings of Gandhi, we have set our levels far above the instrumental ideas of others.

And guys not just my article but even the current situations of corona pandemic are evident that Indian customs and beliefs like vegetarianism, 'namaskar' greeting, cremation of dead bodies etc are quite plausible. The conventional ideas of our country never emphasized on commercial benefits, dominance with power or divisional policies because our great scholars always encouraged spiritual beliefs, integrity of different groups and leading 'simple life with high thinking'.
Indian  culture
You may find it contradictory with such situations that we normally observe in our country like sexual discrimination, poverty and much more. But I would also mention that the woman of vedic age like Gargi and Maitreyi deliberated with males  confidently and nullified their arguments with logic and not only this but our country was called "Sone ki chidiya" (a golden Bird) for its luxuries.

Indian traditions were not fallacious but they were just called 'uncivilized' as they lack systematization and rigidity in their rules. So guys, it's our turn to glorify our culture again and accept our traditions wholeheartedly with a feeling of being blessed to live in such diversity.
Happy Quarantine
